In 2014, food trucks brought in around $650 million and are expected to increase to a $2.7 billion industry within the next 5 years. Currently, around 2.5 billion people daily can be found purchasing food truck fare. What does this mean? Mobile food is a great industry to get into, and a food truck can be started at around $40,000. Smaller and easier to maintain than a restaurant, it’s a great option for a restaurant wanting to branch out with a more intimate menu, or for those wanting to get their feet wet in the food industry.
